Dancing on a Frozen Lake 3

It was a cold and short lasting winter and when Julia suggested to do a photoshoot in -7c I knew it is gonna be tough for both (but obviously even tougher for her!) No need to say that we both froze, and even my blanket couldn’t make Julia feel warmer at the end of the shoot which lasted less than an hour.

The joy and happiness on that smile is very real. All I asked her was to run infront of sun facing me. I had to take hundreds of photos to get one good and sharp photo but it was worth it. Julia is a natural born model!

What do you think about the shoot?  let us know in the comments below!  <3

  • Aperture: ƒ/20
  • Camera: ILCE-7M3
  • Focal length: 75mm
  • ISO: 125
  • Shutter speed: 1/50s

No flash is used for this shot

Editing Tips: When you want to edit photos of snowy days you better keep the whites which are dominant, whites. That makes the whole editing very subtle. I don’t mind adding a little blue to shadows or in this case a bit of yellow to snow as it is quite natural during sunset.
